CDW (collision damage waiver) for car rental insurance.
The partial coverage for collision (CDW) helps the customer to reduce its liability in relation to the total cost of the damage to a lump sum (if any), unless the accident is caused intentionally, if he was driving while drunk, under the influence of drugs, or as a result of prohibited conduct or neglect (e.g. driving off-road or sublet the car to a third party). The protection CDW covers liability for damage to the vehicle or its parts and accessories. The insurance policy establishes that in most rental cases, windscreen, tires, chassis, replacement of locks or keys and towing charges are not covered. Other exclusions may apply, we recommend that you consult them with the supplier when taking possession of the vehicle, as they may vary from one rental company to another.

Protection against theft (TP) reduces the renter's liability to a lump sum (in specific cases) in case of a theft or an attempt of theft of the vehicle. Any negligence related to vehicle theft can cause the local supplier to claim the entire market value of the vehicle.
Check carefully the insurance details provided by our local supplier. It is not unusual for third party insurance to exclude family members or relatives living at the same address who travel with you in the vehicle. Supplementary insurance usually available from our local suppliers, but check first if your travel insurance does not include such coverage. For your peace of mind, Immidia.com highly recommends you take note of the extent of the protection provided, and if necessary, to purchase additional coverage for your husband / wife, children or relatives who accompany you on board the vehicle.

Your Immidia online booking confirmation will normally be available once full payment has been received and the product confirmed by the hiring company. Where the car cannot be picked up due to insufficient documentation or failure to provide a valid credit card, this will be treated as a ‘No Show’, which means you will not be entitled to a refund of money paid. Please ensure that you travel with your booking confirmation, your full valid national driving license and other identification document.
The drivers must have a full and valid French driving license held for at least 1 year (2 years at certain locations; this will be confirmed during the booking process). If you are a British citizen with a new-style photo-card driving license, you must also produce the accompanying paper counterpart at the car hire counter. Our reservations center must be informed of any endorsements / points on a driving license when booking, and Immidia.com reserves the right to refuse a rental on this principle, according to the terms and conditions of our local suppliers. When picking up the car, every driver must present their license. They must also keep their driving license with them at all times throughout the rental, for perusal by local authorities. No refunds will be given if a car hire company refuses to supply a car because of undisclosed endorsements – or because you cannot provide a driving license, its counterpart, or the required information about endorsements. Please note that an International Driving Permit does not replace the requirement for a regular driving license. If you use an international driving license, a full driving licensee in the main driver’s name will still be required in order to rent the car.
If your license was issued in the UK: From 8 June 2015, the law has changed. You might need different documents to pick your car.
